“Don’t Breathe” Red-Band Trailer

Jane Levy
Jane Levy stars in Screen Gems’ horror-thriller DON’T BREATHE.

Attention horror fans, the team that brought you the glorious re-imagining of Evil Dead is back. Director Fede Alvarez‘s second feature is about to hit theaters, and it looks like pure nightmare fuel. Lights Out came out earlier this year, with the goal of making you terrified of the dark. Alvarez’s new film, Don’t Breathe, looks to push that fear even further. If the first trailer was a bit too tame for your liking, there’s a new red-band (NSFW) trailer, and we have it below.

While the first trailer played up the struggle between the intruders (played by Jane Levy, Dylan Minnette and Daniel Zovatto)  the blind bad-ass (Stephen Lang), this new trailer indicates something much more sinister is at play. Alvarez proved himself with the delightfully disgusting Evil Dead, and Don’t Breathe seems like further proof that he is an artist to keep your eyes on.

Don’t Breathe looks brutal, intense, and very scary. I can’t wait to uncover the secrets showcased in the advertising so far.

Rocky (Jane Levy), Alex (Dylan Minnette) and Money (Daniel Zovatto) are three Detroit thieves who get their kicks by breaking into the houses of wealthy people. Money gets word about a blind veteran (Stephen Lang) who won a major cash settlement following the death of his only child. Figuring he’s an easy target, the trio invades the man’s secluded home in an abandoned neighborhood. Finding themselves trapped inside, the young intruders must fight for their lives after making a shocking discovery about their supposedly helpless victim.

Don’t Breathe is in theaters soon – August 26.
